a few days ago there was some controversy about how some passengers travelling by local trains ask not so well off looking passengers whether they have a first class pass when they board the train.
just after that, it actually happened. i was in the train standing by the door, when a couple of TCs entered. they did not bother asking me for my pass but they went in and asked a couple of others for their passes. as it turned out they did not have a first class ticket/pass. i thought the TCs would eventually ask me for my pass, but they did not bother.
it was a real life encounter with how people perceive things differently as well as people.
